Pray for Turkey - facebook page

Once Paul’s missionary journey land, Turkey is now predominantly Muslim. The secular Turkish government has violently battled for years with its minority population, the Kurds. In response to a failed coup in 2016, Turkey has continued to clamp down on anyone President Erdogan deems an enemy. This included American pastor, Andrew Brunson, whose court case was finally resolved resulting in his release after 2 years in prison. Refugees, predominantly Syrian, have overwhelmed Turkey, now numbering about four million - the most in the world. This year Turkey finally ran out of patience with the refugee crisis and will no longer register refugees. It began closing down camps and forcing the refugees to find work in the cities or risk being deported.

Praise Report
Praise God that Christians in Turkey report a sharp increase in interest in the Gospel since the 2016 coup shook many people’s faith (The Bible, Psalm 16:8).

Prayer Requests
Pray for the Church in Turkey to grow in number, and ask God for strong discipleship to produce strong Christian faith and bold witness (The Bible, Hebrews 4:12).
Pray for Christian ministry among the millions of refugees from Syria and other parts of the Middle East and Africa to bear fruit (The Bible, 1 Corinthians 16:8-9).

Call to Salvation
Pray for all those who are seeking spiritual truth right now to take the final step to follow Jesus. Pray for a mighty revival to sweep Turkey (The Bible, Psalm 85:6).
