Senior Likud member Yisrael Katz said that his party is heading the Israeli government and, it will impose its sovereignty over the occupied West Bank. According to the Palestinian newspaper Al-Resalah, Katz said that the issue of imposing Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank would be coordinated with the US. Katz stressed that the new Israeli government would not be a national unity one, but a right-wing government, noting that the former Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman is likely to be part of the new government. Initial results of the Israeli elections for the 21st Knesset show an equal number of seats for the Likud and the White and Blue alliance. However, with the support of a number of right-wing parties, Likud has come out on top. Pray that the people in West Bank will experience God’s sovereignty. Pray that Israel will do what is good in the eyes of God (The Bible, Deuteronomy 12:28).

Al Mezan Center for Human Rights released April 23 a "fact sheet" on violations of the people’s rights to assemble peacefully, express opinions and not be subject to arbitrary detention in the Gaza Strip. The information presented was gathered between March 1, 2018, and March 1, 2019, as part of an EU-funded project to document rights abuses and promote compliance with international law. The statement indicates that the Hamas government security service in the Gaza Strip summoned, arrested and detained 742 people, including five women, as they were exercising their rights, because of their political affiliations. The fact sheet reports ban on media coverage of protests and restrictions on the press, as well as theatrical and drama productions deemed to be anti-government. Pray that the mistreated people will be set free. Pray that the enemy’s plots are thwarted (The Bible, Hebrews 13:3).
