A Jerusalem district court judge has accepted a legal theory put forward by the government in support of legalizing homes in the northern West Bank settlement of Alei Zahav. The ruling has the potential of providing judicial grounds for the legalization of up to 2,000 homes in West Bank settlements whose legal status has been in dispute. The legal concept, known as market overt, is also to be taken up by the High Court of Justice in another case involving the West Bank outpost of Mitzpeh Kramim. In his ruling regarding Alei Zahav, District Court Judge Carmi Mossek accepted the state’s position that settlement construction on Private Palestinian land can be legalized retroactively if the land had mistakenly been thought to belong to the state.

Pray that the legal action will help many families.
Pray that the court’s acceptance will aid to settle the dispute (The Bible, Deuteronomy 1:16).

Israel’s defense body in charge of Palestinian civil affairs announced that they would cut off fuel supplies indefinitely after the incendiary devices sparked a string of fires. Gaza’s electricity company said the shortage caused its only power plant to be partially shut down, causing outages across the impoverished region. An anonymous Israeli official said,”the flow of fuel possible in light of a promise that Hamas will stop the violence against Israel.” A newspaper cited fire department figures suggesting approximately 100 blazes had been started by the balloons. Although no injuries were reported, the fires caused widespread damage to crops and wildlife.

Pray that those responsible will make the restitution.
Pray that the contemptible acts of the enemy will not happen again (The Bible, Exodus 22:6).
