Following October elections, a new, center-left party won 30 out of 47 seats in the National Assembly. The Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa (DNT), which means Bhutan United Party, ran on a platform of tackling rural poverty and youth employment. Bhutan's new prime minister will be Lotay Tshering, a 50-year-old urology surgeon trained in Bangladesh and Australia. He helped found the party in 2013 and became its leader in May 2018. Pray that this party may be effective leaders in this nation. Ask for the salvation of Prime Minister Tshering and his family (The Bible, Deuteronomy 16:20).
