Current president, Alpha Condé, was the first freely elected president in Guinea’s history when he came to power in 2010. The constitution says presidents may serve for a maximum of two terms. Mr. Condé’s second term is now coming to an end, however he recently indicated he intends to stand for a third term and was telling his supporters to be ready to fight any opposition. Bless this nation in Jesus’ name with peace and stability. Pray that Mr. Conde will act righteously, and ask the Holy Spirit to bring conviction (The Bible, Isaiah 33:15-16).
